Jan 28, 2025 Two Northern New Mexico College Students Awarded N3B Scholarships Newport News Nuclear BWXT-Los Alamos, LLC (N3B) has announced the recipients of its 2025 Danny Nichols and Dennis Huddleston Memorial Scholarship. Two Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) students, Atalia Archuleta and Jaide Romero, are among the recipients, along with Paul Alcazar, who is pursuing a degree in chemistry from University of New Mexico-Los Alamos (UNM-LA).

Nov 13, 2024 Community Comes Together for Northern’s Continuing Education Classes Northern New Mexico College’s Continuing Education program at the El Rito Campus offers immersive, hands-on courses that connect participants to local heritage and practical skills. Highlights include Tai Chi classes, held in the peaceful campus park, where participants relax and balance body and mind through this ancient Chinese practice. The Horno Construction course taught traditional adobe-building techniques, with students reshaping a horno and celebrating with freshly baked bread. Oct 31, 2024 U.S. Department of Education awards Northern New Mexico College $2,847,151 Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) is pleased to announce a $2,847,151 five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Northern is one of 49 institutions to be awarded the Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions (DHSI) grant, which assists Hispanic Serving Institutions in expanding educational opportunities and improving the attainment of Hispanic students.
